Aleydis Nissen - Master Global Health

Aleydis Nissen is a human rights lawyer and global health scholar whose work focuses on the right to health and safety at work in the global economy, women’s health, and the rights to sport, physical activity, and physical education. Her research combines international legal analysis with fieldwork, including studies of the South Korean semiconductor and Kenyan floriculture industries. Her work has been recognised through the J.B. Scott Prize in International Law, the René Cassin Thesis Prize, the European Public Law Organization Best Thesis Prize, and, more recently, the Marco Biagi Award from the International Association of Labour Rights Journals for her article on occupational health and safety in free trade agreements concluded by the European Union, the United States, and Canada. She is an expert member of the Lausanne-based Global Observatory for Gender Equality and Sport.
