Why global health?

Every day we are faced with important global health challenges. Chronic conditions, mental illnesses and ageing, but also the effects of pollution, climate change and migration on health, are considered global health challenges of the 21st century.

The programme

The Master of Science in Global Health is a two-year advanced master programme (120 ECTS) consisting of 3 components: 1) theoretical courses, 2) master’s theses and 3) internships.

About the Master

The master is a collaboration between Ghent University, Catholic University of Leuven, Hasselt University, Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Antwerp University. In line with the interdisciplinary character of this course, the lecturers and teachers involved in this Master form a unique interdisciplinary mix to deal with the current Global Health issues and challenges.

Studying in Belgium

In the first year, classes are spread over three campuses in Belgium – Ghent, Antwerp and Leuven – in the heart of Europe. Easy public transport connects the three campuses. Students will be given access to student facilities on the three campuses.
